Princeton Earns ECAC Awards

PWIH goalPrinceton women’s hockey left the ECAC awards banquet with several honors. Jeff Kampersal earned Coach of the Year, Kelsey Koelzer earned Defenseman of the Year and Karlie Lund earned Rookie of the Year.

Lund was named a First Team All-ECAC selection. She was also named a All-Rookie Team selection along with defenseman Stephanie Sucharda.

Kampersal coached Princeton to a program-record 22 wins this season and an Ivy League title. Koelzer finished with a career-high 32 points, second on the team to Karlie Lund and her 39 points. As a freshman defender, Sucharda was reliable on the blue line and added 17 points.

After finishing third in the ECAC, the Tigers fell to St. Lawrence in the first round of the ECAC tournament and are now waiting to see if they make the NCAA tournament.
