Countdown to Princeton Hockey – No. 2 Alec Rush

We’re counting down the days until Princeton hockey’s season opener by featuring a different player each day. Since there’s two days until the season’s start, today’s spotlight is on defenseman Alec Rush.

What you need to know: Rush has battled injuries for parts of two seasons. He has appeared in 60 games and totaled 15 points over his three seasons as a Tiger.

Last Year: The Minnesota native played in 24 games and scored nine points, also a career high. He scored his first collegiate goal on Jan. 27, when the Tigers beat Sacred Heart.

USHL: Rush played with the Tri-City Storm in 2008-09, where he appeared in 46 games and scored 12 points. The season after, he appeared in 48 games combined for the Sioux Falls, Lincoln and Omaha.
